His studio encompassed glassmakers, modelers, mosaic artists, artists, metal workers, textile workers, potters, and wood carvers. He was a man of continuous design which involved color, texture, and pattern to present a finished expression utilizing light.

Tiffany had a life long fascination with light which is what led to his innovation of stained glass and new ways to use electric lighting with design.
