If your projector is exposed to environmental elements, is used more than 5 hours or is used everyday will likely see the lamp fail before the rated estimate. There are a few things you can do to help extend the life of your lamp. First don't let your projector get overheated. Excess heat is the number one reason a lamp goes. Follow the manual's instructions for powering your projector down to make sure that it has a proper cool down period. Using your projector in a cry, dust free, and clean environment will also extend the life of the lamp....
