Lighting is something you really cannot have too much of in a room. You can turn the lights off if you think it is too much, and just use lamps, or vice versa. However, you should have it if it is needed, and you will be glad that you do. Especially when you know all about gas lighting. Gas lighting is something that is not around anymore. Before electricity this lighting was the only way to get light into your house other than using the windows. At one time the lights that were operated by gas had to be lit one by one. Overtime, the gas lights were able to light themselves when needed. Fuel lighting is pretty much a thing of the past. Now with electricity to provide our lighting we have electric light fixtures. When this fule lighting was used there were gas light fixtures. Now gas lighting fixtures are called antiques. Many antique dealers deal only with antique lighting fixtures. Some of the gas fixtures have been converted to electric and take a light bulb to provide light. The gas fixtures that have been converted to electric are the only ones you will see now that can be operated, since this type of lighting is a thing of the past. Where can you see gas lighting fixtures? If your state or city has an annual antique show, be sure you make it a point and go to see what a gas burning fixture looks like. Many of the antique collectors know all about their items they collect, and will be able to show you how they operate and how they were used. As well as having a few of their own on display.
